Biden administration drops fight over Texas’ Medicaid waiver, now in place until 2030

Texas' 1115 medicaid waiver, which provides Texas hospitals with billions of dollars annually, is no longer under federal litigation. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) stated that the litigation was a waste of federal dollars and that they would no longer pursue the matter.

Texas government officials are relieved that the Biden administration dropped the suit, but concluded that the move did nothing but hurt Texas' most vulnerable population.
